Moderate

An exclusive Highland adventure into Iceland’s interior, where volcanic landscapes, geothermal forces, and wilderness reveal a different side of Iceland.

Pick-up begins at 07:30 from selected Bus Stops in Reykjavík. We will depart the city at approximately 08:00 and begin our journey into the remote landscapes of Iceland’s Highlands.

Stop 1 | Gullfoss Waterfall

Our journey begins at one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders — Gullfoss Waterfall.

Take in the breathtaking sight of glacial waters cascading powerfully into the canyon below. We will make a short stop here to experience this legendary Icelandic landmark before continuing deeper into the Highlands.

Stop 2 | Kerlingarfjöll Highland Hike

Leaving the popular tourist routes behind, we will drive into the heart of Iceland’s Highlands towards the spectacular Kerlingarfjöll mountain range.

Led by our professional guide, you will explore this remote wilderness shaped by volcanic activity and geothermal forces. Along the trail, discover steaming hot springs, geothermal vents, colourful rhyolite mountains, and the dramatic landscapes that make Iceland’s Highlands truly unique.

Stop 3 | Ásgarður Valley

After exploring Kerlingarfjöll, we continue to Ásgarður Valley, located in the heart of the mountain area.

Surrounded by colourful rhyolite mountains and dramatic volcanic landscapes, Ásgarður is one of the key areas for exploring Kerlingarfjöll. Here, you can enjoy your lunch, take a relaxing break, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of Iceland’s remote Highlands.

You may also choose to visit the nearby natural geothermal hot spring, where you can unwind surrounded by mountains and untouched wilderness — the perfect way to slow down and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Iceland’s Highlands.

Return to Reykjavík

After an unforgettable day exploring Kerlingarfjöll, we begin our journey back to Reykjavík, arriving in the city at approximately 20:30.
